Junior (The Colonel) Combs is no stranger to southern gospel music! He started singing at an early age with his family group "The Cedar Creek Quartet". Junior remembers and cherishes all his musical and vocal influences dating back to his childhood starting in Sanderson, Florida. Dinkins Church was instrumental for allowing him to sing solos and to help mold his piano skills. Junior has been awarded many honors for his great Tenor voice as well as being noted as an accomplished pianist. He has been a member of such Gospel groups as. Rushing Wind, The Canaanland Boys, New Gathering Quartet (2004) group winner of The NQC Talent Search, The Coastalmen and currently his family group Southern Joy! (2006) winner of The NQC Talent Search. Junior now performs with his daughters Jessica, Alicia and his son Wesley! He calls it a honor and a great joy to do so.
